Coco Watches TV

Image
Coco Watches Dog Show on TV My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 18 April, 2026 Coco knows exactly when I get up in the morning. So, a few minutes from 7 am, he stretches his legs and starts sniffing around my ears. I know I have no more time to stay in the bed. He sniffs hard near my neck and face, and his air blows want me to hurry up. Nobody can take the cold rub of a pet’s nose for long and have to get up. When Coco sees I am up, he moves to the window near my bed to look outside. His seat is a pile of cushions I have kept for him. He keeps moving his head so that he can take a full view of the world from our second floor. This gives me about five to seven minutes to begin my day. As I take out milk and bread from the fridge, Coco moves to the drawing room floor, his legs together and straight, and head resting on them. His eyes are focused on what I am doing and he knows well how soon his bre...

Coco with a Tree on his Walk-Path My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 14 April, 2026 After Saturday night’s oil massage, Coco had a wet towel bath on last Sunday morning. Coco does not protest much during scrubbing by a wet towel now. He allows his face, back and arms to be rubbed by a wet towel, first, and then by a dry towel. He can also take his vitamin tablets with food but revolts if any spray is to be applied to any cuts on his body. He is growing taller and uses his legs to push away anybody trying to hold him for any work. On his walk this morning, Coco stopped in the middle of the road to sniff something stuck on the ground. This is his regular habit. He has to be dragged across the road for the road bridge to continue his walk. Early mornings are unpredictable for cars and e(lectronic)-rickshaws. They appear suddenly and expect clean roads to speed ...

Coco's Dark Walk Path My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 11 April, 2026 On his morning walk yesterday, Coco saw a Golden Retriever who was also on his morning round. This was the first time he saw a Golden Retriever, walking with his owner nonchalantly in his rhythmic gait. Coco has seen a white Labrador and an Alsatian on his walks earlier. While the big boys are always lost in their disciplined walk, the Belgian Malinois he has seen a few times was once cheerful enough to say a close hello to him. Coco’s worry on his walks is the stray groups who sleep together and do not tolerate any outsider in their well-defined territory. The large white b...

Coco’s Lonely Walk-Path My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 09 April, 2026   Coco is over a year-old, but does not know most stray dogs are aggressive, even if they are wearing a collar. This morning, as he crossed the road for the road-bridge, a large black dog with a collar came to our notice. We looked at him. He did not appear calm and was making sounds from the other side of the bridge. Coco on the other hand was mewing and made sounds to meet the unknown morning walker. With some persuasion and force, he was asked to move ahead.   The experience left him disturbed. He moved quickly, raising legs at every growth of grass. Once on the lonely cycle path, he calmed down. He was following his normal walk, few steps on the left, then on the right, doing his chores at every pile of rubbish. The path is deserted. Occasionally, morning walkers or runners...

Coco at Home My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 08 April, 2026   Out of house, this morning, Coco’s eyes looked out for the large white bully dog. Forgetting he is out for his daily round, he wanted to focus on the bully on the other side of the road. The big guy was looking for the female he has been pursuing for some days. The change of season is behind his attraction. Coco finally went across to the road-bridge and sniffed the ground and wild growth. He can’t tolerate crows and pigeons enjoying their morning feed spread on the pavement. As he nears them, he jumps at the gathering and the whole bunch of birds flies away. Coco resumes his normal walk and sniffs his way to the cycle-path for the first part of his walk.   While he looks for his favourite spots, he must not be disturbed by any noise or persons walking ...

Coco at Window

Coco at Window My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan 07 April, 2026   After last night’s shower, Coco was in high spirits this morning. He sat at the window near my bed and watched the scene below. He always liked to do so even when he was a young puppy. He liked the fresh air. But it seemed he couldn’t believe he could watch men and women, dogs and cats and running cars, safely, from his house itself.   Looking out, Coco gives the profile of a thinker. He looks at the left, and then at the right, taking a somber view of life. He keeps his straight left leg on one side and bends his long back slightly to study closely if everything was okay.   Often, he rushed to the window, disturbed by the sound of a police or ambulance siren. Mobikes running with no silencers are another pain for him. But he is also driven by plain curiosity to look out from his second floor window.   Coco knows I ...

My Pet Coco

Coco, My Pet My Pet Coco Deepak Razdan New Delhi, 6 April, 2026 This is my pet Coco’s February, 2026 picture. He came to us in May-end, 2025 and was about one year-old in February this year. Coco is a male dog of unknown pedigree with a congenitally defective left hind leg. He was offered to us by a rescue service and we accepted him as family member. He was naughty as a three-month-old and he continues to entertain us with his antics, day or night. He was teething when he came and chewed up many bathroom slippers. Coco got many toys from us and young relatives to test his teeth and he shredded them as fast as he could. He has not forgotten the pastime and even now picks up a slipper or a soft shoe to draw attention. As a kid, Coco had no ...
